Nico Williams ‘makes promise’ to his big brother

According to Diario Sport, in the aftermath of winning the Copa Del Rey and qualifying for the Europa League, Nico Williams promised his older brother Inaki Williams that he would stay at Athletic Club until the summer of 2025.

Nico told his bigger brother that he wanted to fight for a European title at Bilbao. Thus, their qualification to the Europa League presents him with that chance.

If Nico sticks to his word then he is likely to resist all advances and continue at Athletic Club next summer.

Barcelona are still expecting Nico to tell them his decision on his future but at the moment, the odds of Williams leaving Bibao are getting slimmer by the minute.
