‘They don’t use their brains’: Gundogan apparently rants on Barca players to Arda Guler after El Clasico

“They don’t play with their brains. If they play with their brains… they don’t use them. Look how many ball losses they had in the last 15 minutes,” Ilkay Gundogan told Arda Guler in Turkish after El Clasico, according to lip readers.

The German was most likely referring to his Barcelona teammates whom he was seemingly angry with during the game.

This is not the first time Gundogan criticises Barca players – the most controversial episode took place after he publicly stated that Ronald Araujo had made a mistake in the Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain. After that, he often noted that Barcelona often panic in big moments, unlike Real Madrid.

Constructive and fair criticism is alright, but it has become annoying to hear it from Gundo so often, don’t you think so?
