A recent contestant on Jeopardy! took to social media after her episode aired to share some behind-the-scenes insights, including an unexpected moment with host Ken Jennings

Jeopardy! fans don’t always get the inside scoop on what things are like on the long-running game show’s set, but one recent competitor spilled the beans on a blunder behind the scenes involving host Ken Jennings.
The Tuesday, December 9 episode saw current reigning champ Will Riley face off against new competitors Steve Riddell and Jenna LaFleur in their match, which Jennings noted throughout was well-played by all.
However, what fans didn’t see on the episode was a moment where Jennings had a slip-up, just days after another awkward moment where another mistake played out on screen between the 51-year-old and a player.
This time, it was edited out of the final episode, but some fans were able to learn about it after Lafleur spilled the beans by posting on the show’s subreddit, where she discussed the episode.
Taking up the discussion, LaFleur shared that there was another take on the part of the episode where Jennings discussed how much money she had going into the show’s final round of competition during the night, Final Jeopardy.
“Behind-the-scenes tidbit,” she wrote in a long post on the page.

“Ken did two takes of the ‘Jenna Lafleur had $14400 going into final jeopardy…’ line because he felt like he didn’t pronounce my last name with enough Frnehc swag the first time.”
In her post, Lafleur also shared some other information about her time taping the episode, sharing that she was sure some of the moments where she missed having the correct response would “haunt” her.
“That T.S. Eliot DD is probably going to haunt my dreams-I think you could probably tell from my reaction that I knew I would have gotten it if I had remembered to look at the category again,” she said.

“All in all, though, if I had to go out in second place, I’m very happy to have put in the showing I sis, and I’ve got my fingers crossed that the producers liked me enough to invite me back for Second Chance,” she added.
Lafleur’s reveal on the social media site comes after Jennings had an awkward moment on the show where he was caught using a slang term on camera after responding to a question about whether or not he still participated in bar trivia.
In the clip, an off-screen voice asked him “do you ever go to local trivia nights or bars and just like…” with Jennings then jumping in and replying “Just stunt on those h–es?”

After the clip surfaced online, many fans also recalled a similar answer from when Jennings himself was a record-setting contestant on the show.
During an episode in 2004, he was given the clue, “This term for a long-handled gardening tool that can also mean an immoral pleasure seeker,” with the correct answer being “What is a rake?”
However, Jennings stunned then-host Alex Trebek when he buzzed in with the answer “What is a h-e?”
