La Liga: Barcelona reportedly could face Atletico Madrid in USA

La Liga consider moving this year’s Barcelona clash against Atletico Madrid to the United States, according to Relevo’s Alfredo Matilla.

If approved, the game would take place between December 20 and December 22 in Miami.

All the parties would benefit from this decision financially, except for Barca’s home fans who would want to watch such a big encounter at the Montjuic or Camp Nou.

Earlier, the La Liga president, Javier Tebas, tried to move Girona v Barcelona and Villarreal v Athletic Club to the USA but didn’t succeed. The league are now way more optimistic that this will happen on the third attempt.
