Thiago & Guardiola share long embrace at US reunion

The Barcelona v Man City game was not only a game against his former side for Pep Guardiola and Hansi Flick’s first game in charge of the Catalans.

It was also Thiago Alcantara’s maiden game in the Barca dugout as a part of Flick’s coaching staff. The retired midfielder faced off with Guardiola, a coach who gave him his Barca debut and then managed him at Bayern.

Thiago and Pep shared a warm conversation and a long hug after the final whistle in the friendly at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, US.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw and Barca won a penalty shootout 4-1. Pau Victor and Pablo Torre put their names on the scoresheet for Blaugrana.
