Arda Guler assists new signing Endrick twice in just 5 minutes of Real Madrid training match: Reports

Turkish forward Arda Guler has assisted Real Madrid’s new signing Endrick twice in just five minutes during a training match. The duo are part of a Los Blancos squad that traveled to the USA for their pre-season tour.

Los Blancos will play AC Milan on August 1 before a friendly El Clasico clash against Barcelona at the MetLife Stadium on August 4. On August 7, they will face Chelsea at the Bank of America Stadium before they return home and turn to competitive games.

Real Madrid could win a trophy in their first game of the season as they face Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14. They will be hoping that their players are fully fit and prepared for the tough season ahead. It will certainly come as good news for the club that two of their young players are combining well on the pitch.

Reports from Chicago (via Madrid Zone on X), where the squad are currently based in the U.S., have claimed that Arda Guler and Endrick are working well in attack. The Turkish youngster is in strong form as he provided two assists for his Brazilian counterpart.

Los Blancos will have to face tough teams in La Liga and the Champions League, both of which they will be defending as current trophy holders.

Will Endrick and Kylian Mbappe affect Arda Guler’s playing time at Real Madrid?

It is uncertain if Arda Guler will enjoy improved game-time in the 2024-25 season given the arrival of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe. Currently, the Madrid squad has a number of quality attackers like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz, and Jude Bellingham.

Arda Guler has already struggled to find playing time in recent months. He was out of contention due to injury, but when he did come back, he played ten La Liga games. He impressed tremendously in these games, scoring six goals.

However, Endrick and Mbappe could potentially reduce the Turkish midfielder’s opportunities within the squad. If manager Carlo Ancelotti is unable to provide each player with the playing time they expect, Guler may perform a backup role or potentially leave the club on loan.

There are already rumors about a potential loan switch, but Ancelotti has reportedly pushed for Guler to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu (via Managing Madrid).
