Bade Miyan Chote Miyan box office collection day 6: Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff-starrer yet to cross Pathaan’s opening day numbers

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan box office collection day 6: Ali Abbas Zafar’s action film, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, couldn’t capitalise on the BOGO offer introduced by the producers.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s box office collections on day six saw the big scale actioner stabalise after plummeting on its first Monday. The collections of the Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer on Tuesday remained low, though they were boosted by the BOGO (but one get one) offer introduced by the producers.

This was the second offer rolled out for the film, after tickets were made available at Rs 127 on Monday in select cinemas. The offers don’t seem be to helping the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial get the necessary push, as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan on Tuesday minted Rs 2.25 cr according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

The collections were Rs 25 lakh less than that what the film managed to earn on Monday. The film’s six-day total stands at Rs 45.55 cr. There are no official numbers yet by Pooja Entertainment, but it would have crossed the Rs 100 cr mark globally by now.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, released last Thursday on Eid, is likely to end its extended first with less than Rs 50 crore domestically, which is a disappointingly low figure. Pathaan made more on its opening day. With numbers down to single digits already, the film is unlikely to recover in its second weekend.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is turning out to be one of the biggest duds of recent times, as it struggles to come anywhere close to its reported budget of over Rs 350 cr. Even after six days, has not crossed the opening day numbers of last year’s big blockbusters- Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (Rs 57 cr all India nett) and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (Rs 63 cr all India nett).

The way the film is trending, it is likely that it would end its lifetime run at a figure somewhere close to what Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan had clocked on day one– Rs 75 cr all India nett. With no big releases lined up for at least a month, and the other Eid release, Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan, also fizzling out, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan can hope to trend at lower levels.
