How Yamal & Spain's Euro 2024 joy brings extra financial reward for Barca: explained

Barcelona saw four of their players move onto the Euro 2024 final after Spain’s win over France in the semi-final.

Lamine Yamal played a huge role in helping La Roja get to the final. He scored an insane goal and produced a Man of the Match performance.

Along with Yamal, Ferran Torres, Fermin Lopez and an injured Pedri are also in line to get their first European Championship winning medal if able to win the final.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are also poised to benefit financially from Spain’s Euro 2024 joy. That is because UEFA will now be compelled to pay them extra money for their players reaching the final.

UEFA is compelled to pay compensation to clubs for ‘loaning’ their players throughout the course of the competition.

Barca are going to receive over €3m from the federation after Euro 2024. Particularly, they will get around €3.16m for sending 12 players to the tournament.

This is actually a new record amount for the club and the revenue could be put into the Blaugrana’s summer transfer budget.
