Barca members don't want Nico Williams profile — they agree on preferred signing

Barcelona members in Spain have voted on what improvements the club must make this summer to take the club forward. Their priority is far from Nico Williams at the moment.

40 per cent of the members voted that the club must sign a defensive midfielder this summer. Another 27 per cent voted for a new striker to be signed given Robert Lewandowski’s age and the uncertainty surrounding Vitor Roque.

Meanwhile, only 12 per cent of fans have voted for the club to sign a winger like Williams. The members think his signing shouldn’t be the club’s top agenda.

Barca already have Raphinha and Ferran Torres who can play left-wing if needed. Also, they have Pedri, Fermin and Gavi who can also play there in a 4-4-2 system.

Signing Williams remains complicated for Barca despite recent comments from club president Joan Laporta.

Barcelona are yet to officially reach the 1:1 Financial Fair Play rule which means they cannot register some players let alone sign new ones. But the club remains optimistic of making ends meet on time.
