Betis denied a penalty against Real Madrid – Barcelona’s goal was disallowed for the exact same foul
Today, Real Madrid beat Real Betis in La Liga with a 2-0 margin- but things would’ve gone the other way if La Liga referees were actually fair and consistent.
In the 2nd minute of the game, Thibaut Courtois hit his opponent after making a pass. The referee, however, decided against giving a penalty to Betis, deciding it is not a foul.
What is the point? Well, just yesterday, Barcelona’s goal was disallowed due to Jules Kounde doing exactly the same thing. But in that game, referee decided it was a foul, unlike Real Madrid’s game.
