Beyoncé pays for late trains to take fans home

Beyoncé spent $100,000 (more than 2.37 billion VND) to extend subway hours to help fans get home after attending the “Renaissance” concert.

According to DailyMail , Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour performance at FedExField stadium had to be postponed nearly two hours due to inclement weather on August 6.

Due to the late start, Beyoncé’s team coordinated with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to extend service hours by an hour, allowing fans to get home after the show.

Accordingly, after the show ended, WMATA opened an entrance at Morgan Boulevard Station – the closest to the show – and exits at 98 other stations. The agency rescheduled departures at Morgan Boulevard Station to 1:04 a.m. the next day, instead of 11:34 p.m. the night before.
