TikTok star and podcaster Bobbi Althoff has shut down a troll who suggested she sleeps with people she interviews.
In a post shared on her Instagram Stories, Althoff shared a screenshot of a response she got from a troll. “Damn get divorced choosing fame over your now ex-husband just to get passed around by different guys weekly,” read the comment, which she tore into.
“I never respond to this comment that I’ve been getting a million times a day for the last year, but I am really sick of seeing it,” wrote Althoff, who divorced her husband after four years of marriage earlier this year. “Anyone who says stuff like this is so fucking ignorant. You don’t know why my marriage ended, that we are both so much happier apart than we ever were together. That now our kids get to see two happy parents instead of zero.”
Althoff has faced speculation about the dissolution of her marriage ever since it was announced her husband filed for divorce. Some trolls suggested that she slept with one or multiple of her interview subjects.
“I have never slept with someone I interviewed,” she continued. “I don’t sleep around and I rarely ever go out. But you guys can’t fucking believe that a woman can be around men without sleeping with them. It’s so frustrating that I can’t post a single thing without comments about how I’m being passed around. Go live the lives you deserve and shut the fuck up. And just because you don’t see my kids doesn’t mean I don’t. You see what I allow you to see.”
She followed up the post with another, in which she wrote, “Like do you really believe that it was my dream in life to be a divorced mom of 2 kids by 25? Obviously not. I’m obviously insecure about it & wish things played out differently in my life. But that’s life, things don’t always end up how we expect them to.”
Earlier this month, Althoff was recorded on video very drunk in Nashville. She later addressed the incident and personally thanked Arizona Cardinals cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting for carrying her out of a club and placing her in the back of an SUV. “Last night was scary but thankful for having good friends in my life like @seanmurphybunting for looking out for me,” she wrote.
The Really Good Podcast host rose to fame thanks to a breakout interview with Drake, which has since been removed. She’s also interviewed major celebrities including Rainn Wilson, Lil Yachty, and Offset. She was spotted hanging out with YG in Compton following Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out show on Juneteenth.
