Following WrestleMania on Sunday, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was awarded 96,558 TKO shares, valued at millions of dollars.

In the biggest show of the year, Johnson—who has returned to WWE as The Rock—starred in the match that saw Cody Rhodes win the championship.

Taking on a villainous demeanor, he joined forces with his actual cousin Roman Reigns to defeat Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the first night’s main event. Rhodes and Reigns then featured in the main event of the second night.

In late January earlier this year, Johnson was appointed to the board of TKO, the conglomerate created by WWE and UFC’s parent company, Endeavor, to unify the entities.

Now, he has been awarded shares worth just short of £7.5million after reaching a series of requirements stated in his January 2024 contract.

Johnson received the shares as’vested upon completion of specific services’ under the terms of his contract, according to the explanation of replies.

The WWE and UFC decided to combine a year ago to create a new publicly traded business that would be under Endeavor Group’s ownership. The merger was finalized in September.

Endeavor, who has owned the UFC since 2016, owns 51% of the merged business, with WWE owners owning the other 49%. Among those shareholders is Vince McMahon, the former chairman of the WWE.

The firms estimated that TKO was worth around £17.3 billion in the agreement, while the UFC was valued at £9.8 billion and the WWE at £7.5 billion. When The Rock joined the board, he received stock valued at about £23.7 million.

The distribution of shares might have been connected to Johnson’s appearances on WWE TV. On Raw on Monday, Johnson said that he will once more be taking a break from programming for the foreseeable future.

During Saturday night’s post-night one press conference, Johnson remarked, “I have been fortunate to have been involved in some cool things.” Nothing compares to taking the stage at WrestleMania to compete in front of thousands of fans and other professional wrestlers.

“There may be additional matches.” I adore what I do, but I can’t really go into too much detail. We’ll see.

When Johnson announced he had to leave WWE, the Philadelphia crowd sang “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.” Johnson continues to receive enthusiastic applause from the fans wherever he travels.

His Hollywood job calls, but he’ll be returning soon, and he’ll definitely be more involved now that he’s on the company’s board.
