The Herons traveled to Gillette Stadium on the weekend as the hosts welcomed a club-welcome 65,000 fans to watch Lionel Messi and company ease past the Revs in a 4-1 win for Inter Miami.
With Messi bagging two goals and two assists, the record-breaking crowd got what they came out for as the Argentine international controlled the match for Inter Miami, with Benjamin Cremaschi and Luis Surarez also scoring on the night.
And Inter Miami co-owner Beckham has now sent a message after Saturday’s historic night.

Beckham praises ‘amazing’ Inter Miami performance after 4-1 New England win
Taking to Instagram, Beckham was full of praise for the Herons after breaking another MLS attendance record and for securing a big 4-1 win on the road, taking Inter Miami to the top of the Supporters’ Shield standings.
Beckham wrote on his official Instagram account: “Another record-breaking crowd, 72,000 last week and over 65,000 in New England this weekend… amazing turnout and another great result.”
With Inter Miami selling out some of the biggest stadiums in the US this year with Messi, there’s a real chance that the Florida franchise could break more records as the season progresses.
Indeed, Inter Miami will be slated to play in bigger and better stadiums later this year, and with Messi at the top of his game, there’s a real chance that last season’s MLS record attendance for a single game could be broken.

Inter Miami will hope Messi can stay fit for the rest of the year
As well as being the best marketing tool MLS could have ever wished for, Messi’s form on the pitch has made Inter Miami the clear favorite for both the Supporters Shield and MLS Cup.
And with the forward back to his best and fully fit, Inter Miami will hope that the attacker can remain fit for the rest of the year, with one game a week currently suiting Messi and his fitness levels.
Indeed, the summer could change all that, though, with the Copa America and Leagues Cup, and if Messi also travels to Paris for the Olympics, Inter Miami will need to do all they can to keep Messi fit.
