‘John Wick’ Sequel Series ‘Under The High Table’ In The Works From Keanu Reeves & Chad Stahelski
The ‘John Wick’ franchise is eyeing another TV iteration, Deadline reported.
Keanu Reeves, who has played the title character in four films, and director Chad Stahelski are among the executive producers of a sequel series in development at Lionsgate Television. Robert Levine (‘The Old Man,’ ‘Black Sails’) is attached as writer and showrunner on the project, titled ‘John Wick: Under the High Table.’

Stahelski, who has helmed all four ‘John Wick’ feature films and has creative oversight of the franchise via a deal with Lionsgate, is also set to direct the pilot episode of the series. Lionsgate, which produces the billion-dollar franchise, is shopping ‘Under the High Table’ to potential buyers, according to Deadline.
Should it go forward, ‘Under the High Table’ would be the second TV series in the ‘John Wick’ franchise. Peacock streamed the prequel miniseries ‘The Continental’ — set at the hotel that is a safe haven for the assassins at the heart of the story — in 2023.

‘Under the High Table’ will follow the events of ‘John Wick: Chapter 4.’ Per Entertainment Weekly, the logline for the show reads:
John Wick has left the world of the High Table in a tenuous position and a collection of new characters will look to make a name for themselves while some of the franchise stalwart characters remain committed to the old-world order. The series will combine new and old and thrust the Wick universe into a new age.
Currently, Reeves is attached as an executive producer with no acting component. He is said to be very hands-on with the project.

Along with the potential TV series, Lionsgate also has two spinoff films in the Wick-verse: 2025’s ‘Ballerina,’ starring Ana de Armas, and a feature centered on Donnie Yen’s character, Caine.
