The grunge band also teased new music from their upcoming album.

Keanu Reeves and his band Dogstar have reunited for an epic performance at BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival.

For the first time in two decades, the band came together onstage for the annual music festival in California to belt out their bangers.

Taking a break from movie sets, the actor played the bass while hitting some impressive high notes on the Verizon stage.

Reeves was joined on stage by his bandmates, vocalist Bret Domrose and drummer Robert Mailhouse and played songs from their upcoming third studio album.

The band was formed in 1991 after a chance encounter between Mailhouse and Reeves at a supermarket.

Mailhouse was wearing a Detroit Red Wings hockey sweater at the time, and The Matrix star asked if the man needed a goalie.

As the two men formed a friendship, they began to jam out together before Gregg Miller joined them, and they started their band.

The band released two studio albums to moderate success before breaking up in 2002.

Following their performance, they penned to their 57,000 followers via Instagram: “Great to be back on stage! What a fantastic day we had. Thank you so much BottleRock.”

Many fans were elated to see the band back together again, as one person wrote: “Thank you for a great performance. When the first photos and videos started to appear, I woke up and watched excitedly. You are awesome.”

Another said: “Congrats to all of you. You were incredible!!! Such a blast!”

While another commented: “Y’all were worth the (20-year) wait.”

In July, Dogstar announced they were releasing new music with a post to social media, which read: “We’re back. #tbt.”

They also shared that they were working with producer Dave Trumfio and engineer Ruddy Lee Cullers at Kingsize Soundlabs in Los Angeles.

But aside from releasing new music, the actor is set to reprise his iconic role of John Wick in the upcoming spin-off Ballerina.

The action thriller will take place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4 when ballerina-assassin Rooney (played by Ana De Armas) hunts the murderers of her family.

Director of the John Wick films, Chad Stahelski, revealed that Les Wiseman would direct the flick and offer a ‘fresh’ perspective on the franchise.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: “Having him [Len Wiseman] on board and approaching some of the action design from a slightly different perspective, meaning the set pieces, the character involvement, how and what he wants to do during the action sequences, makes it kind of fresh.”
