NBC’s longest-running primetime drama, Law and Order SVU has yet again been commended by fans after an emotional episode. The crime drama saw a young character come out as bisexual which left fans in tears.
After Law and Order SVU returned from its midseason break, fans were beyond excited to see what the rest of the season had in store.
Led by Detective Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay), the special victims unit of the NYPD worked together to solve cold cases.
The tense episode saw the squad come face to face with the culprits who were trying to tarnish the city with hate crimes.
When they were eventually captured, one of the men demanded to surrender and just as he tried to draw his weapon, Benson’s instincts saved the day as she shot and killed him.
Although the perpetrator had fled the scene his address was soon discovered and there he was found bloodied and also tied up.
During the investigation, footage from the door camera revealed Tino’s uncle, Carlos, was behind it all and pleaded not guilty.
However, things took a dark turn when Carlos’ girlfriend disclosed he had touched her son inappropriately.
While standing on the roof of a high rise building, Tino later confessed and was later apprehended.
Elsewhere in the episode, Benson had suspicions her eight-year-old son Noah Benson (Ryan Buggle) was being bullied.
This later was revealed to be the case after he stood up for himself when older kids wanted to film him wearing a dog collar while eating dog food.
However, later on in the episode, fans witnessed a heart-warming scene when Noah told Benson he was bisexual.
She embraced her son and expressed how proud she was of him for standing up for himself and for telling her his truth.
