Fans can’t help but wonder what is going to happen to Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) as Law & Order: Organized Crime is leaving NBC and heading to the streaming platform, Peacock. For 25 years now, their relationship has been slowly building, both on a personal and professional level. After all, the duo *almost* kissed during Season 24 of SVU.

Since Organized Crime debuted, the franchise has had some crossovers between the two shows, further exploring the two’s relationship.

Law & Order: Mariska Hargitay Eases Fans’ Concerns

Mariska Hargitay recently addressed Law & Order franchise crossovers by telling Variety, “I’m actually planning on it. I just told him the other day. We had a party the other night, we saw each other. It was heavenly. I met his showrunner. They want us together, and Chris and I were talking about it, and it’s time. It’s time now for us. This was a long time not being in each other’s universe. That’s why we did the calls and stuff like that. But we’re excited to get back in there, get back in the ring.”

While there’s still uncertainty around exactly how the crossovers between SVU and Organized Crime will work, the fact that Hargitay and Meloni are talking about it is a good sign.

Law & Order: Things Will Be Sorted Out In The Summer

The Law & Order franchise, much like many other shows, is currently on summer hiatus, as both series have had their season finales. While both NBC and Peacock have yet to release fall premiere dates for both shows, this should be coming down the pipeline at some point in the weeks or months ahead.

In the meantime, if crossovers are being discussed, fans won’t necessarily have to worry too much about keeping the Stabler-Benson relationship alive, even if they simply share a phone call now and again to stay in touch before being reunited on screen. Storylines and plots for the 2024-2025 season for both shows will probably get ironed out soon.
