Lewandowski – 8, Ferran – 4: Rating Barcelona players in Valencia win
Barcelona have started their La Liga campaign on a winning note with a 2-1 win at Valencia. Here’s how the players fared in the game.
Robert Lewandowski – 8
The big striker did not disappoint today. It was his goals that won Barca the game. Besides the goals. Lewandowski looked sharp and could’ve scored a hat-trick in this game if he were any luckier.
Ter Stegen – 7.5
Ter Stegen made one brilliant save to keep Barca in the game in the first half. The German goalie was solid with his distribution throughout the game and didn’t make any mistakes.
Marc Casado – 7
What a game Marc Casado played today. He was arguably one of the best players on the pitch despite a shaky start to the game. He made 4 tackles, 2 key passes and completed all his 5 long balls. He might’ve even scored late in the game.
Lamine Yamal – 7
Lamine was brilliant in the first half and capped it off with that lovely assist for Lewandowski for Barca to equalize. Lamine made 3 key passes and completed 3 of his 5 dribbles.
Ferran Torres – 4
This wasn’t the best performance from Ferran again. The Spanish forward didn’t contribute much to Barca’s attack in the first half and missed a glorious chance in the second half after being put one-on-one by Lamine.
