Nico Williams is ‘crazy’ to join Barcelona! He has made the club his TOP priority & is even willing to wait for Barça

President Joan Laporta confirmed that Barcelona has more than enough money to spend on big-name players at this time.

“Our financial situation has improved a lot,” Marca quoted President Laporta as saying when asked about the transfer of Nico Williams. “We are almost back to a normal financial situation.”

“At present, Barca can sign big names like they did before. We will soon clarify the financial situation in the near future,” the club’s head affirmed.

President Laporta’s statement surprised many people. Barca is said to need to raise funds to break Nico Williams’ 58 million euro contract with Athletic Bilbao.

AS even revealed that after negotiating with Athletic Bilbao, Barca is considering a loan deal for Nico Williams, with an option to buy at the end of the 2024/25 season. The Catalan club does not have enough money to pay the 58 million euro contract termination fee.

According to Cadena Ser, Barca does not have enough money to cover the transfer costs. To solve this problem, the Catalan club will contact banking institutions to seek a new loan.
