OFFICIAL! Real Madrid say goodbye to Joselu
A few hours ago, the Real Madrid club homepage announced that striker Joselu completed his transfer to the Qatar team, Al Gharafa . In the 2023/2024 season, the 34-year-old striker plays for Los Blancos on loan from Espanyol.
Joselu had a successful season when he and Real Madrid won the La Liga and Champions League double. Joselu left a strong impression when he scored 2 goals against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals.
” Joselu Mato has agreed to join Al-Gharafa SC,” Real Madrid announced on their website. Joselu has signed a two-year contract with the Qatari club.

Previously, Real Madrid bought Joselu from Espanyol for a fee of 1.5 million euros. Los Blancos sold the Spanish striker to Al-Gharafa SC for an amount equivalent to 1.5 million euros.
The contract between Joselu and Al-Gharafa SC is valid until June 2026, with an option to extend until 2027. Real Madrid did not retain Joselu because the Spanish striker wanted to test himself at a new stop.
