Happy Holi to all who celebrate, which includes Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband, Nick Jonas, who commemorated the holiday with a celebration in India. In a series of photos posted to both Nick and Priyanka’s Instagram feeds, the family of three showed how they celebrated the holiday, which marks the start of spring, with little Malti Marie.

The 2-year-old and her parents matched in all-white outfits, which is how many families celebrate the holiday, which was officially yesterday and involves tossing red, green, blue, and pink powders. According to Smithsonian, the powder-throwing is an “enactment of a game the Hindu god Lord Krishna played with his consort Radha and the gopis, or milkmaids. The story represents the fun and flirtatiousness of the gods but also touches on deeper themes: of the passing of the seasons and the illusory nature of the material world.”

Malti coordinated with her parents, as their traditional white clothes included similar embroidered details. She finished her look with a pair of white Crocs (in sport mode, for maximum fun), while her mom wore a sheer shawl with intricate embroidered trim. Proud dad Nick paired an all-white kurta with octagonal sunglasses. Photos in the couple’s posts showed the pre-party and post-colorization, with their clothes covered in a kaleidoscope of colors.

“Holi was lit. Thank you, @tam2cul@sudeepdutt, for creating such a warm atmosphere for our family! So much fun. 🤩,” Chopra wrote alongside the images and short videos, which captured her dancing with Nick and Malti.

Priyanka Chopra Says Being a Mom Is “Extremely Overwhelming”

The Jonases have been in India since last week when Chopra posted more photos on Instagram from the trip. The roundup included a sneak peek at the family’s visit to Ram Mandir, a Hindu temple complex in Ayodhya. “Blessings for the little one and the family 🫶🏻,” she captioned that post.

Last year, Chopra told People that being a mother has been the most rewarding thing she’s ever done, though it’s far from easy.

“I think when you put them to bed, it’s extremely overwhelming because every single day you worry about what you can do wrong and what mistake you might make,” Chopra said. “But you have to check yourself, and I check myself with my family. I look at [my daughter’s] smile, and I’m like, ‘OK, OK. I’m doing good so far.’ It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s extremely scary.”
