The rapper’s S.W.E.D. (an acronym for Smoke Weed Every Day) dispensary offers easy access from LAX and conjures 2Pac with an exclusive new strain
It was only late last year that Snoop Dogg’s ruse about “giving up smoke,” had us all rolling our eyes as he continued to roll fatties. Of course, he wasn’t really giving up weed; the announcement was a play on words meant to promote a product, something the rapper and frequent spokesperson for hire has proven to be very good at doing.
In fact, Snoop, who bought Death Row Records in 2022, had only released Death Row Records Cannabis months earlier, in January of 2023. This reporter can attest to its exemplary potency after sampling it for a story, fo shizzle.
This past Sunday, Snoop’s foray into the the weed business was solidified in a big way with S.W.E.D. (an acronym for “Smoke Weed Every Day”), his brand new L.A. dispensary, which features novel strains and hip hop photo ops including the iconic Death Row Records electric chair, Doggy-Style album art and artifacts, and Snoopisms on the walls.
Intentionally located between SoFi Stadium and the airport, S.W.E.D. also offers a limited edition strain inspired by and named after his old pal 2Pac. The “inaugural artist collaboration” is close to Snoop’s heart as it was Pac who famously handed Snoop his first blunt, as he recalled at the legend’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2017.
“That first blunt sparked a friendship that ran deep,” Snoop reminisced. “We’ll always have his music, but this is another way I can bring what was meaningful to 2Pac to his fans.”
They’re also touting “four never-before released collectible photos of 2Pac in front of a Death Row Records graffiti-covered wall, as well as a matchbook, recreated from the shoot” as part of the packaging.

Snoop, who’ll be seen as a special correspondent for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games this Summer, is also currently working on a S.W.E.D. coffeeshop in Amsterdam set to open next month.
