Spotted: Luis Enrique’s brutal comment in one-v-one talks with Mbappe after flopping against Barca at home UCL leg
Kylian Mbappe was reprimanded by PSG boss Luis Enrique after his poor performance against Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final clash last season.
The Frenchman failed to make any impact and his poor decision-making saw him forced into a one-v-one session with Enrique after that game.
An upcoming documentary on PSG’s 2023/24 season shows Enrique saying ‘It’s a disaster’ to describe the forward’s performance at the Parc des Princes against Barca.
The Blaugrana produced an impressive performance at the French club’s own yard, defeating them by a 3-2 margin to take an advantage.
But things started going wrong in the second leg after Ronald Araujo got sent off in the 29th minute. PSG won the second leg by a 4-1 margin, with Mbappe scoring twice to take them to the semis.
