Raphinha pushed Araujo down to protect Real Madrid’s Endrick

Raphinha SHOVES down Araujo to defend Real Madrid man Endrick

Barcelona teammates Raphinha and Ronald Araujo were involved in a bit of a heated altercation in Uruguay’s win over Brazil in the Copa America quarterfinal.

Around the 17th minute, Brazil forward Endrick appeared to go down on the ground after colliding with the centre-back.

This caused a bit of a scuffle between the players. Suddenly out of nowhere, Raphinha came rushing towards Araujo and shoved him down to the ground.

His love towards his Barca teammate definitely went out of the door at that point, with the Brazilian prioritizing the wellbeing of his national teammate.

Neither of the players were booked for the heated altercation. But Araujo would pick up a muscle injury around the 30th minute and need to be substituted for the same.

He watched on from the sidelines as Uruguay held on in normal time and succeeded in the penalty shootout to move onto the Copa America semi-final.
