The 14-year love affair of “Transporter” Jason Statham

Actor Jason Statham and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 20 years his junior, have been together for 14 years, have two children but are not married.

Jason Statham is currently attracting attention with his action role in The Expendables 4 . Besides acting, the actor is famous for his love story with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

They started dating in early 2009 after meeting at a party in London, England, and had an instant connection. In a 2013 interview with Glamour , the model said the 20-year age gap wasn’t an issue when she first met Statham: “His knowledge and strength were really inspiring and fascinating. Our connection had nothing to do with age. Jobs come and go, but when you have someone at home who thinks you’re the best in the world, it motivates you to keep going.”

Two years after falling in love, the two appeared together for the first time at Oscar’s Vanity Fair party. In an interview with The Violet Files in 2014, the model said laughter was an important part of being in love with Statham and that he taught her most of Cockney slang (a dialect of traditional English). “I got a lot of strange looks because no one thought I would say those things. In America, people think we are crazy,” Rosie said.

In 2016, the couple announced their engagement after Rosie appeared at the Golden Globes with a ring on her finger. According to People , designer Neil Lane said Statham had been looking for the perfect ring for Rosie for a long time. They planned to get married but were not in a rush to prepare, waiting for the right time. “We were focused on work, talking about the wedding and looking forward to it. It wasn’t a big priority for either of us,” Rosie told Extra in 2018.

The two don’t often talk about their relationship, but they’re often seen together on red carpets. They also support each other in their work. In May 2018, Statham congratulated Rosie on launching her beauty brand Rosie Inc on Instagram: “So proud to see you pursuing your dreams and making them a reality. Congratulations, my love.” This is one of the rare times the actor posts about his fiancée.

Besides their strong love, Statham and Rosie are happy raising their children. On June 24, 2017, the couple welcomed their first son, Jack Oscar. On Extra , the model said that Statham is happy to be a father: “He is very happy to wake up at 5am, do his fatherly duties and let me sleep an extra hour. Statham is very enthusiastic and a great father. I am very lucky to be with him.”

According to People , the couple does not let their child appear in public because they want him to grow up normally and focus on spending time with his family. On February 2, 2022, the two had daughter Isabella James. Rosie wrote on social networks that during her second pregnancy, she felt much more confident and comfortable mentally and physically.
