The glorious career of “Queen of Pop” Beyoncé through the numbers
With her powerful voice and attractive appearance, Beyoncé is increasingly asserting her position as the “queen” of the world’s contemporary music scene through the titles she has achieved.
According to a recent Forbes report, Beyoncé’s 2023 tour, “Renaissance World Tour,” is expected to generate around $2.1 billion in ticket sales once it concludes. That would make it the highest-grossing tour of all time, about $500 million more than Taylor Swift’s current No. 1 tour, Eras Tour. “Renaissance World Tour” is Beyoncé’s ninth solo tour, seven years after 2016’s “The Formation World Tour.”
200 million discs
Starting out with Destiny’s Child – one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, Beyoncé’s career had an easier time than many of her peers. Her solo singles Crazy in Love, Déjà Vu, Irreplaceable, Beautiful Liar… all became hits of the year. After Destiny’s Child disbanded, Beyonce’s career continued to soar.
At the age of 41 and in her 26-year career, Beyoncé has released 7 albums, each of which has been described as different and groundbreaking from the previous ones. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Beyoncé has sold more than 200 million records worldwide as a solo artist and more than 60 million records as a member of the girl group Destiny’s Child. These numbers make her one of the best-selling artists of all time.
32 Grammy Awards
At the 2023 Grammy Awards, the moment Beyoncé’s song Break My Soul was announced as the winner of the “Best Dance/Electronic Recording” category caused a stir on social media. Although this category is not one of the Big 4 awards of the awards ceremony, it contributed to helping Beyoncé become the artist with the most Grammy awards in history, with 32 golden statues.

9 tours
The “Renaissance World Tour” is the ninth headlining tour of Bey’s solo career, including the two tours she performed with husband Jay-Z (2014’s “On the Run” and 2018’s “On the Run II”) as well as the first Verizon Ladies First Tour with Alicia Keys and Missy Elliott in 2004.
