‘There will be a fight for second place. Atletico will beat Barcelona’: Toni Kroos predicts La Liga top 3 this season

Speaking on his podcast Einfach mal Luppen, former Real Madrid player Toni Kroos, who retired from football this summer, gave his prediction for La Liga’s top 3 this season:

“Real Madrid will win the league, I have no doubt. There will be a fight for second place. Atletico Madrid will beat Barcelona.”

Los Colchoneros definitely made some big moves this summer, adding Julian Alvarez, Alexander Sorloth and Conor Gallagher to their ranks.

But Barcelona did too, brining Champions League-winning coach Hansi Flick and Euro champion Dani Olmo to Camp Nou.

Kroos might want to reconsider his predictions — it could come back to bite him.
