Suri Cruise’s decision not to use her father’s last name when she graduated from high school has caused a stir.

Recently, Suri (18 years old), daughter of actor Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, officially graduated from high school . The ceremony took place in mid-June at the United Palace Theater (Manhattan, USA) with the presence of her mother – actress Katie Holmes.

It’s worth noting that in the graduation program handbook, Suri’s name is listed as “Suri Noelle” instead of “Suri Cruise”.

The news site also shared a screenshot of the information page in this notebook, in which the name “Suri Noelle” is circled. Many people believe that this is Suri’s way of showing affection for her mother, because “Noelle” is Katie Holmes’ middle name.

Although the video has since been taken down, many people believe that Suri will attend this school.

It’s unclear whether Suri’s name change to “Suri Noelle” is a legal change or just a name she uses in some cases. However, Suri’s move comes as more and more Hollywood stars’ children, especially Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are choosing not to use their father’s last name.

Last month, People reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter – Vivienne Jolie-Pitt (15 years old) – was listed as “Vivienne Jolie” on the program of the Broadway play The Outsiders .

A few weeks earlier, according to TMZ , Vivienne’s older sister Shiloh also filed a petition to drop her last name “Pitt” upon turning 18.
