Travis Kelce talks private life with ABC, says he’s grateful for everything that’s come his way
Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce is no stranger to the spotlight, but you can’t deny that the spotlight feels much brighter these days.
From his larger-than-life presence on the field to his dynamic family and his high-profile romance, Kelce sat down with ABC News Reporter Will Reeve to dish on life both on and off the field.
“I feel like I’m on top of the mountain,” Kelce told Reeve. “Even after winnin’ the Super Bowl, having the off-season that I’m having … living the dream, baby.”
Kelce has kept busy in the offseason: Jet-setting to Europe to support girlfriend and pop-megastar Taylor Swift, filming his first true character acting role, working on an upcoming gameshow host gig, standing up at charity events, and most recently, drawing the ire of the Secret Service at the White House.
Reeve asked, “Your well-talked about personal life, how do you stay true to who you are?”
“When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” Kelce said. “I’ve always been a very grounded guy. You know, it might not come off like that when I’m playing football, but off the field, I just want to be a genuine person.”
And, ask Kelce on a scale of one to 10 how good his life is right now, his answer is off the charts.
“Man, it’s — 20? 100?” Kelce laughed. “I’m so fortunate and so grateful of everything that’s come my way in life.”
Kelce told Reeve that despite everything going on right now, all the chaos in life, football remains his primary focus, and specifically winning another Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.
