Travis Kelce vows to go to any lengths to back Taylor Swift after his groundbreaking declaration.

Travis Kelce appeared on stage with Taylor Swift during one of her London shows

Travis Kelce made a rare offseason appearance under the floodlights, swapping his helmet and pads with formal wear and a top hat during a surprise onstage cameo with girlfriend Taylor Swift.

This performance at the latest Eras Tour stop in London attracted admirers from both the pop star’s massive fandom and Kelce’s familiar NFL world, including ESPN commentator Pat McAfee.

“Travis Kelce… killin’ it.” the former Colts punter said on his Pat McAfee Show. “Poised, prepared, strong, filled with moxie and willing to do whatever to support his partner Taylor Swift. Once again, I can’t reiterate this enough, a football guy has gone into this pop culture world and showcased what can be.”

“Football guy, going out there, performing,” McAfee continued. “Catching her, she’s tired, let’s wake her back up. Still got a show to do here in London in front of 90,000 people. Motivating, inspiring and willing to wear that silly costume….. We’re proud of you Trav, way to go. Never in doubt.”

Far from just standing idly on stage, Kelce assumed a significant role in Sunday’s rendition of “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart,” a new song from Swift’s album entitled “The Tortured Poets Department.” Kelce picked up his partner up and placed her gently on a red couch, later adding to the routine further by applying a performative layer of makeup onto Swift’s face.

The ‘New Heights’ podcast, hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason, used this spotlight to announce a new episode of the program set to air on Wednesday. The promotional image included several references to the pair’s weekend in the United Kingdom, including a Union Jack flag, a bowl of fish and chips and an iconic Buckingham Palace guardsman.

McAfee’s show has actually proved a significant sounding board for Kelce throughout his near-yearlong courtship of Swift. The three-time Super Bowl champion explained in September, before the couple’s relationship had been publically confirmed, that he’d extended Swift an invitation to watch him play at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium, where she was later seen for several Kelce’s games.

“I threw the ball in her court and, you know, I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.'” Kelce told McAfee. “So we’ll see what happens in the near future.”
