Cristiano Ronaldo impressed with Al Nassr during the 2023/2024 season as he broke a goalscoring record and was the top goalscorer of the Saudi Pro League. The Portuguese striker turned 39 in February, but he continues to be clinical in front of goal and has been the most crucial player in the Al Nassr squad. Ronaldo has showcased a great run of form recently that many have not seen for quite a while. Ronaldo was very upset this past weekend as the team lost to Al Hilal in the King’s Cup Final by losing 5-4 on penalties. Al Nassr did not win a major trophy this season, but it motivated CR7 instead of causing him to drop his confidence. In an interview with the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo spoke about his season with Al Nassr and is motivated for the EUROS 2024 with the Portugal national team. CR7 said, “I will give everything for the Portugal national team in EURO. My goal is to remain Cristiano Ronaldo as you saw me this season.”
Ronaldo played a total of 45 matches with Al Nassr across all competitions. The Portuguese striker scored a total of 44 goals and provided 13 assists across all competitions. In 31 Saudi Pro League games, Ronaldo scored 35 goals and provided 11 assists.
Ronaldo also broke the goalscorer record in the Saudi Pro League, as the old record was 34 goals in a single Saudi league. Ronaldo scored 35 goals after scoring a brace against Al Ittihad on the last matchday of the Saudi Pro League season last week. Ronaldo finished second in the league with 82 points after 34 games played, with a record of 26 wins, four draws, and four losses.
Cristiano Ronaldo could win another award for the season
Ronaldo won the Golden Boot of the Saudi Pro League and broke the record for the most goals in the league’s history. But now Ronaldo could win another award in the AFC Champions League. Cristiano’s goal against Al-Duhail is nominated for the Favorite Moment award in the 2023 AFC Champions League.
