Actors Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s California dream home, a sprawling mansion they purchased for $20 million, has become the epicentre of a legal battle following water damage that led to a mould infestation, forcing the family to move out.
The house faces a series of issues that have rendered their dream residence virtually unliveable. Page Six has exclusively reported that Chopra, Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie, 2, have left home as repairs are done.
The couple’s extravagant purchase in 2019 boasts seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and an array of lavish amenities, including a temperature-controlled wine room, indoor basketball court, bowling alley, home theatre, spa, gym, and billiards room.
However, a copy of the lawsuit, filed in May 2023, reveals that the home began to transform into a nightmare in April 2020, plagued by issues like “porous waterproofing” leading to mould contamination.
The lawsuit, filed against the builder, details a cascade of cross-complaints among sub-contractors, creating a labyrinth of blame. Delays in the legal process have ensued as each party attempts to deflect responsibility for the defects, leaving the fate of the lawsuit uncertain until at least 2025.
