Real spends 40 million to win hot central defender at EURO 2024
A source from Tuttojuve revealed that Real Madrid is ready to participate in the race to recruit a midfielder that is making Europe excited.
Riccardo Calafiori has been in great form over the past year and was outstanding for Italy at EUIRO 2024. Bologna were initially reluctant to sell him this summer, but his outstanding performances in Germany have sparked interest from European clubs. Bologna are now struggling to keep hold of him, with Real Madrid the latest interest.
According to a report on Tuttojuve, the Spanish club are in need of a left-footed centre-back and Calafiori has caught their attention. The Champions League champions are considering making a serious move to get the 2002 midfielder’s signature.
Calafiori becomes Real’s target.
Unlike Juventus, Real Madrid seems ready to meet Bologna’s asking price of 40 million euros . This situation may worry Juventus because they are still negotiating to reduce the transfer fee for Calafiori’s signature. Besides Juventus or Real, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur become other potential landing spots for Calafiori.
