Luis Suarez announces retirement from international football

Luis Suarez has announced his retirement from international football.

The Uruguayan’s home World Cup qualifier against Paraguay (September 7) will be his last appearance for the national team.

Earlier, the 37-year-old often revealed he plays through physical pain these days which sometimes becomes unbearable. El Pistolero might also retire from football as a whole this or next year.

Luis Suarez will retire from international football with an impressive 142 appearances in which he registered over 100 goal contributions. He won a Copa America and finished third at the 2010 World Cup with Uruguay.
