The extent of Messi’s injury at Copa America 2024 is clear
Reliable journalist provides updated information on Lionel Messi’s injury ahead of the match between Argentina and Peru, in the final match of Group A Copa America 2024.
Messi will ‘do everything possible’ to be available for the match at Hard Rock Stadium against Peru, according to TyC Sports journalist Gaston Edul. The striker missed Argentina’s training session today (June 28), raising injury concerns among his fans. That also created uncertainty over whether M10 will participate in the match against Peru.
Messi was seen receiving treatment for his thigh during the match against Chile, then it was reported that he would sit out the match against Peru.

However, to reassure fans of the “atomic flea”, journalist Edul has now revealed that the former Barcelona player is trying his best to participate in Argentina’s upcoming match.
Meanwhile, Messi’s entourage also said he was getting better and they believed that M10 would compete in the quarterfinals. In the opening two Copa America matches so far, the Inter Miami striker has not scored any goals. However, he assisted Lautaro Martinez’s goal in the 88th minute against Canada in the first match.

With or without Lionel Messi, Argentina will still have a psychological advantage over Peru. They have never lost to this opponent in the past 27 years, that achievement has lasted up to 16 matches until now.
Los Incas beat the Albiceleste 2-1 in the Copa America in June 1997 but since then they have endured a string of defeats against the South American giants. In fact, they lost 12 times and avoided defeat four times.
In their last three matches, all of which took place in World Cup qualifiers, Argentina have won by a combined score of 5-0. Furthermore, in their last meeting at the Copa America, which took place in 2007, the world champions won 4-0, in which Lionel Messi scored
