Olmo – 10, Ferran – 2: Rating Barca players in Rayo win
Dani Olmo – 10
Dani Olmo came off the bench in the first half and instantly showed what Barca had been missing. Within minutes he almost won a penalty, then he slammed a powerful shot into the crossbar. And with seconds left to play, Olmo won the game for Barca with a controlled finish. What a debut.
Raphinha – 8
Once again, Raphinha was absolutely brilliant for Barca. He played two positions today but he was equally dangerous both as a number 10 and on the left. Raphinha almost assisted Lewandowski for the equalizer before setting up Pedri for his first goal of the season. Raphinha is an undisputed starter now.
Lamine – 7.5
Lamine Yamal seems to always give Barca a lift even when he’s not having his best game. This was one of such games, still, the teenager produced the assist for the winning goal. He almost did the same for Lewandowski’s goal that was ruled out for a Kounde foul in the buildup.
Pedri – 7.5
Pedri seemed to struggle in that first half as was most of Barca’s players. However, in the second half, he raised his level, particularly when Olmo entered the fray. Pedri’s goal was a touch of pure genius. It’s why a fully fit Pedri makes Barca ever so difficult to beat.
Ferran – 2
Once again, Ferran Torres was poor in his first-half cameo. He wasn’t pressing well enough and had just 19 touches of the ball. Stats also show he lost the ball 3 times with a blocked shot his only highlight in the game. When Hansi Flick introduced Olmo everything changed.
Others: Ter Stegen – 5, Gerard Martin – 6.5, Cubarsi – 7, Inigo – 6.5, Bernal – 7.5, Balde – 6, Fermin – 6, Victor – NR
