Georgina Rodríguez’s Family Secret Exposed: Cristiano Ronaldo’s Father-in-law Convicted for Drug Trafficking
Recent revelations have cast a shadow over the family of Portuguese football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo, as disturbing details about his father-in-law’s criminal past emerge.
In a startling discovery, the Daily Mail unearthed criminal records revealing the troubled history of Georgina Rodriguez’s father. According to these records, the father of the renowned model served a decade-long sentence for his involvement in drug-related offenses. “The couple Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez find themselves embroiled in turmoil with the latest revelations about the Spanish beauty’s family,” commented AS magazine.
The British publication confirmed that Jorge Rodriguez, aged 69, had spent time in three Spanish prisons before being extradited to Argentina. Two years prior to his extradition, he suffered from a severe illness that left him unable to speak or move his left arm.
Jorge Rodriguez was convicted on charges of drug trafficking, specifically cocaine, by a Madrid court. The details of his cocaine trafficking offense were outlined in an extensive 18-page document dated July 28, 2003. At that time, news reports also mentioned a criminal ring apprehended while transporting cocaine worth over 100,000 euros from Spain to France.
Jorge Rodriguez found himself entangled in a web of criminal activities, primarily through telephone communications with criminal syndicates and facilitating payments to drug trafficking groups in Colombia. In a subsequent trial in November 2010, Georgina Rodriguez’s father received an additional two-year sentence for smuggling cannabis from Morocco to Spain, along with six other individuals.
This revelation has sparked a wave of discussions and speculations about the impact of Georgina Rodriguez’s family history on her relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo and their public image.
