'Flick can rejuvenate him': Barca fan notices one change in Lewandowski's style of play under Hansi Flick

Yesterday, Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 on La Liga matchday 2. Despite Robert Lewandowski scoring the winner for Barca, he was still heavily criticised by fans for struggling to convert his chances.

However, one Barca fan noticed one change in Robert’s style of play since Hansi Flick took over – and he thinks it can help the Polish striker gain consistency again.

“When I watched yesterdays game, it didn’t look like Lewandowski was dropping as deep to receive the ball like he did under Xavi.

“I also felt like he was unlucky to not score more goals, as he hit the post after a nice shot despite it being a narrow angle in the first half, and the keeper making an insane save when Lewa was sliding in to shoot from Raphina’s cross in the second half.

“He finally scored the match winning goal, and stepped up like he did against Valencia. I really hope we get to see Lewa scoring for us consistently again and I think Flick can rejuvenate him.”
