JT Recruits DJ Khaled, Jeezy & More For Debut Mixtape 'City Cinderella' | iHeart

JT’s breakthrough solo debut has everyone talking.

The former City Girl finally released her first-ever solo mixtape City Cinderella via Quality Control Music on Friday, July 19. JT includes her lead single “Sideways” on the 16-track project along with “Okay” and the remix featuring Jeezy. She also has new collaborations with DJ KhaledStunna Girl, and Clip. After opening with her “Intro (Hope),” Throughout the album, JT truly stands on business and makes a name for herself as a solo lyricist. She impresses the masses with stand-out tracks like “Swang,” “90’s Baby,” “JT Coming” and her tribute to the late “Uncle Al.”

“When I listen to City Cinderella, it’s what I want to hear,” JT said while reflecting on the project. “I was being completely true to myself, the south, my city & my day 1’s who loved my verse on where the bag at lol….ahhh I’m so happy it’s out!!! I feel free 😫🙏🏾💗”

“Thank you sooooo much to my supporters, thank you for hearing me, receiving me & getting it when nobody else did!” she aded. “We still have so much growing to do. Thank you to my team for this flawless amazing roll out & not shooting down my ideas! I’m so happy ….soooo HAPPY!!!”

Before the album dropped, JT announced the dates for her first solo tour. The “City Cinderella Tour” begins in Kansas City, MO. on August 20 and hits 20 other cities around the country. She’ll close out in Los Angeles on September 22. In celebration of the project’s release, JT also shared a short documentary about how she made City Cinderella.
