Thiago agrees to join Hansi Flick’s coaching staff on one condition
Thiago Alcantara has agreed to join Hansi Flick’s coaching staff at Barcelona, Cadena SER reports.
The German manager, who has not yet mastered Lengua española, is seeking an assistant to help communicate his ideas to the players. As someone fluent in both Spanish and German, and with previous experience working with Flick, Thiago is a perfect match.
The former La Masia graduate, who recently retired from playing, is eager to contribute to his former club himself.
However, having just closed a major chapter in his career, Thiago is not ready to fully commit to a new role.
Reportedly, he prefers to take on the coaching slash translation job part-time, planning to be at Barca’s camp for two or three days a week.
