Hours after the Portuguese star joined, the club’s Instagram page rose from 853K to over 10 million, per ESPN. He is the highest-paid player, earning around $200 million annually. According to Statista, the Saudi Arabian club has a market value of $154m.
Before Messi’s arrival, Inter Miami enjoyed a relatively high profile, courtesy of David Beckham’s co-ownership, but had a dismal performance. The Argentine star brought more eyeballs to the club and the Major League Soccer (MLS). Beckham claimed that 3.5 billion people watched Messi’s unveiling.
Other notable players who play for the club include his ex-Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez. According to Sports Pro Media, Inter Miami is the second most valuable club in the league, at $1.03 billion.

Luis Castro took charge of Al-Nassr in July 2023, replacing Rudi Garcia. He previously worked at the Brazilian football side Botafogo. Castro also coached Al Duhail, Shakhtar Donetsk, Chaves, Vitoria Guimaraes and Rio Aves.
He won the Ukrainian Premier League with Shakhtar, the Emir of Qatar Cup with Al-Duhail, and the Terceira Divisão with Estarejja. Castro has guided Al-Nassr to the Arab Club Champions Cup glory.

Gerardo Martino joined Inter Miami in June 2023. He worked with Messi, Busquets and Alba as Barcelona coach. Martino also managed Atlanta United and guided them to the MLS Eastern Conference Championship and MLS Cup. He guided Inter Miami to its first major trophy, the League Cup.

Al-Nassr finished second in the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League season with 82 points. They won 26 matches, drew four and lost four. The team scored 100 goals and conceded 42. Ronaldo was the league’s top scorer with 35 goals, breaking the single-season scoring record of 34. The club will play at the AFC Champions League Elite.
The 2024 MLS season started on February 21 and will run until October 19. At the time of writing, the American outfit is leading the Eastern Conference, scoring over 45 goals. Luis Suarez and Messi lead the club’s scoring chart with 12 goals as of June 2024.
