Eto'o: 'I said to Guardiola, you will apologise to me because it is I who will make Barcelona win, not Messi'

Marca publish some of Samuel Eto’o’s most striking confessions about the illustrious events in his lengthy career.

For example, the Cameroonian recalled his alleged conflict with Pep Guardiola when the Catalan coach took over at the Camp Nou stadium in 2008.

Marca quote Eto’o: “I said to Guardiola, you will apologise to me because it is I who will make Barcelona win, not Messi. I was the one who made us win and Pep should ask me for forgiveness.”

Eventually, Eto’o lasted for just one season under Guardiola. He left for Inter for €20million in July 2009, straight after the 2-0 win in the Champions League final against Manchester United.

In total, Eto’o scored 130 goals in 199 matches for Barcelona between 2004 and 2009.

Former Barcelona midfielder Ronaldinho has finally been released from a Paraguayan prison after he was arrested and imprisoned along with his brother for attempting to enter the country using fake passports last month.

Here are the first pictures of Ronaldinho after release:

The Ballon d’Or winner was sentenced to six months in jail but he was freed after serving just 32 days following the payment of his £1.3m bond, according to Daily Mail.

Ronaldinho is now set to be put on house arrest at a hotel in the country’s capital of Asuncion.

The former number 10 insisted he didn’t know he had committed an offence and wasn’t aware he was using a forged passport when he was arrested alongside his brother Roberto on March 6 this year.

His release comes as a piece of good news to Barca fans. The 40-year-old remains one of the greatest players to wear the Blaugrana jersey.

Ronaldinho marked an era at Camp Nou. He led the club to win their second Champions League title against Arsenal in 2006.

In his 207 appearances for the club, the Brazilian recorded 94 goals and 71 assists to his name. He also won two La Liga titles and two Spanish Super Cups.

Cules, how do you feel about his release? Happy, isn’t it?

Barcelona attacker Martin Braithwaite has made a bold claim that he would come back better as a better version once the season returns.

The Danish international revealed the message in a post he wrote on his official Twitter page today.

Along with a picture of him in action for the Catalan giants, Braithwaite wrote: ”Miss this more and more every day but patience is key.

“I’m working on all the fine details of the game that might be overlooked during competition,” Braithwaite posted on Twitter.

“So, you guys better believe I’m back a better version.”

See the post below:

Braithwaite was signed by Barca in the winter following injuries to Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele. The Danish forward impressed in his debut appearance with two assists to his name.

He also put up a couple of promising displays including in the El Clasico before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
