Michael Strahan’s Daughter Isabella Announces She’s Cancer-Free in New Video

The 19-year-old has chronicled her hospital visits and life events in frequent YouTube vlogs.

Isabella Strahan, the daughter of television host and former NFL player Michael Strahan, is officially cancer-free.

After being diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called medulloblastoma last October, the 19-year-old shared on Thursday that she’d gotten her final MRI scans in a vlog titled “Goodbye Hospital.”

Strahan, a freshman at the University of Southern California, was receiving treatment at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center in Durham, North Carolina. In other vlogs, she documented getting a surprise visit from R&B singer Bryson Tiller and ringing the chemotherapy bell.

“Everything was clear. Cancer-free and everything is great. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October,” she said around the 2:50 mark of the video up top.

“I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped me because they’re all so nice,” Strahan continued.

“I feel like I’m just saddened today, knowing that I wasn’t gonna be going back for a while, because I love them so much. So, that was my last hospital vlog until October!”

Strahan’s brain cancer diagnosis was shared on an episode of Good Morning America earlier this year, where she detailed undergoing a traumatic medical episode just months before. Initially believing that she’d had vertigo in early October due to experiencing headaches, nausea, and dizziness, Strahan’s condition worsened later that month, leading doctors to find a tumor in the back of her brain.

Strahan had emergency surgery on Oct. 27, one day before her 19th birthday.
