In the movie, Wonder Woman squares off against the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility.

Cheetah will be played by SNL vet Kristen Wiig, who also worked on Bridesmaids and Ghostbusters with Melissa McCarthy.

Lynda Carter from the WW TV series of the 1970s is rumoured to be making a cameo.

The movie is directed by Patty Jenkins, who was also at Comic-Con.

A fresh tan: The stunner looked sunkissed suggesting she had just been on a summer vacation

In top shape: She has been working out nonstop to play Diana Prince/Wonder Woman again

A lot to say: Gadot has said she wanted to make Wonder Woman fearless so she could be an inspiration to young girls

Pine looked ready for a summer barbecue with his pink shirt and yellow slacks.

He seemed at east as he took questions from the crowd.

He returns to WW: 1984 as Steve Trevor which has confused some fans because he was believed to have died in the first Wonder Woman which took place during WWI.

The director: Also there was Patty Jenkins who is at the helm of the sequel

Jenkins told the audience that she chose 1984 as her setting because it was ‘mankind at its best and worst’ and ‘us at our most extreme.’

According to PolyGon, there was a small teaser.

‘First we see Diana in her uniform, saving a young girl at a shopping mall from two gun-carrying goons. She crushes the guns, pushes the girl out of the way, sending her into two giant stuffed bears, then lassos the two men and jumps off the second floor.

Giggles: Gal laughed backstage of the event with Chris Pine

‘The colors are bright, the action was tough yet mesmerizing (the lasso, in full slow-motion, looks gorgeous), and even though Tiffany wasn’t serenading the scene in her usual 1980s-mall-tour mode, the energy was high.’

‘The thing that mattered to me the most,’ Jenkins said, ‘is I wanted to make great movies in my lifetime.

‘And I found myself saying I have these characters I love and this world that I love and we can make a movie about something completely new, pure and strong and as unique as the first one. Of course I want to do that.’
