His third Champions League title for our club means he’s just one away from equalling Miguel Muñoz’s record for trophies as madridista coach.

Carlo Ancelotti continues to add to his legendary status at Real Madrid and in world football. In his two spells at our club, the Italian coach has now won 13 titles: 3 Champions Leagues, 2 Club World Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 2 LaLigas, 2 Copas del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups. This incredible trophy haul means he is only a single title away from levelling Miguel Muñoz’s all-time record for most titles as madridista coach.

Ancelotti has a particularly special relationship with the European Cup. The Italian is the madridista coach with the most wins in the competition, level with Zidane. At the Madrid helm, he has lifted the cup in 2014 (Lisbon), 2022 (Paris) and 2024 (London). Alongside the two Champions Leagues he won for Milan (2003 and 2007), he has truly cemented his place among the world football greats as the only coach to have won the European Cup on five occasions.
