Revealed: Hansi Flick's specific plan to get best out of Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski has looked like a changed man at Barcelona since the start of the Hansi Flick era.

The German gaffer has optimized his performance levels and ensured that the Polish forward rediscovers his goal-scoring ruthlessness.

Lewandowski has scored four goals so far in as many matches. As per Diario Sport, Flick has a specific plan to keep getting the best of Lewandowski this season.

He’s made the decision to strategically substitute the 36-year-old during matches to preserve his energy levels and keep him from becoming exhausted.

Lewandowski was substituted 20 minutes or so before the final whistle against Valladolid and there’s a specific reason for that.

Both Flick and the forward have mutually agreed upon to start substituting him at regular intervals to keep him fresh and ensure Lewandowski is there when it’s the time to make a difference in matches.

Lewandowski has been one of Barca’s most prolific players in the 2024/25 season so far, scoring four goals and providing an assist in four La Liga games.
