Barca ‘open talks’ to offload two youngsters — one is Vitor Roque
Barcelona have opened talks with FC Porto over the transfer of Mikayil Faye and Vitor Roque, Sport’s Joaquim Piera says.
Barca are finding it difficult to register Vitor Roque’s contract in La Liga for the coming season and would prefer to send him out on loan to the Portuguese club where he is also expected to get more minutes.
Vitor Roque might have to leave Barca after all — it’s about Financial Fair Play
As for Faye, Barca are open to selling the young defender for a fee of €15m this summer. The Blaugrana had previously received proposals worth €9m but decided against selling him.
Barca value Faye but believes they already have enough cover in central defence where Faye plays.
Deco’s relationship with new Porto president Andre Villas-Boas is considered key in a possible deal being done between both clubs. Deco also played for Porto and rates that environment highly.
It remains to be seen which Barca youngster will end up at Porto this summer.
