Barca’s likely 4 captains for next season

Barcelona could have the captain foursome of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski next season, reports Diario Sport’s Ferran Correas.

The first three slots are occupied already. As for the fourth, Hansi Flick reportedly prefers to have the Pole as a captain; the other options are Pedri and Ilkay Gundogan.

Ter Stegen is set to become Barca’s first-choice captain after Sergi Roberto’s departure. Unless he picks up an injury, he’s going to carry the armband in almost every game next season.

The final four-man captain list is going to be revealed in August.
