Colin Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Boycotting NFL Amid Harrison Butker Controversy
Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, is not interested in watching the NFL after the latest Harrison Butker controversy.
Last week, Butker found himself in hot water when he traveled to Benedictine College in Kansas and offended many when he described Pride Month as a sin and gave a speech about the roles of men and women in society.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell revealed why he chose not to punish Butker for his comments via a statement.
“We have over 3,000 players. We have executives around the league. They have diversity of opinions and thoughts just like America does. That’s something we treasure.”
Nessa reacted to Goodell’s statement on Butker and said she won’t be watching the NFL anytime soon.
“That’s why I don’t watch that organization, and I still don’t care who performs at their halftime show.”
Kaep’s girlfriend shared another Instagram story post blasting Butker defenders.
“You all line up to defend Harrison Butker’s opinion, But when Colin Kaepernick took a knee to state his, you all lost your [expletive].”
So far, Chiefs players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have come out to defend Butker’s freedom of opinion after his comments went viral.
